The Winter 2017 Cycling for Starters 6 week class starts Wednesday January 18th.Anyone over the age of 18 with the ability to ride at least 5 miles is welcome to participate.
Classes are once a week and each session lasts approximately three hours.
Classes are free but we ask that you sign up for a 1 year SCCCC membership.
Participants will learn the basics of cycling safety, riding in traffic, rider etiquette and group riding. Each class involves discussion, demonstration, practice and coaching. We stop for a coffee break during the rides.
The first ride is less than 10 miles on flat terrain and our goal is to gradually increase to 25 miles with hills by the end.
