Many of you have scaled Mt. Diablo and ridden across the Golden Gate during Fleet Week. How about a little...something different?
Adventure awaits you in the East Bay Hills Ride!
This ride shares some of the route of the Grizzly Peak Century and includes some of the best bits.
We start at Lafayette BART and head east along the Lamorinda Bike route around the Briones towards Walnut Creek, through Pleasant Hill via back roads. The highlight is 8 miles of mild climbing around the Briones Open Space Nature Preserve along Reliez Valley Rd through Alhambra Valley. We are doing the route called "Pig Farm" and the "Three Bears Loop" (Bear Creek Rd, along San Pablo Dam).
Grizzly Peak and Pinehurst, the A-riders diverge and get to do a sweet decent down redwood tree-laden Pinehurst Rd. They also get to revel in the "delights" of climbing Alba Rd-esque Happy Valley Rd.
B-riders will take a more gently-sloped way through Moraga and back to Lafayette.

Daily parking in the BART parking lot is $3, payable inside the station IN CASH (you can go the paid fare area gates to pay for parking without buying a trian fare).
