Kathleen Kinder and Daphne GullingIn early September Daphne and Kathleen joined friends in Oregon to participate in Cycle Oregon.
An annual event, Cycle Oregon attracts over 2000 riders from all over the world. It's a very well supported and organized event (Oregon even supplies State Motorcycle Troopers to ride along with the cyclists). Each host city gets $50k and provides wonderful groups of volunteers. In the past they have used the funds for things like new uniforms for the High School band or restoring historical buildings. I highly recommend it but if you are planning on participating you need to sign up early. The ride fills quickly. |

and Kathleen. I have known Jim since the late 60's. He's an MD and when
I was recovering from my 1st melanoma episode his prescription for my recovery
was to ride Cycle Oregon with him. Our group then (2001) was just the two
of us. Over the years the group has grown. In 2008 it was up to 17. (Right) Toby Tyler Please, no bad lawyer jokes. You might hurt his 'feeling'. |
