President's Day Ride
If you'd like to get into the President's Day spirit, come dressed as either your favorite or least favorite president.
Ride will meet at the Cost Plus/Ross parking lot on River St., Santa Cruz
Ride will leave promptly at 9:00am.
We will take the inland route to Corralitos. After a short rest stop in Corralitos, we will climb Eureka Canyon.
Lunch/rest stop at La Tienda Market on Summit Rd. Descend Soquel-San Jose and then follow Soquel/Water to start.
Roughly 50 miles round trip, with a one good climb.

President's Weekend Overnight Tour to Pigeon Point Lighthouse
Meet at Natural Bridges east entrance off Delaware at 9:00am.
Ride up Hwy 1, 27 miles to the light house where we will spend the night.
Return Sunday morning check out is 11:00am. This is an introductory ride into touring for those who wish to learn and a winter getaway for those of us with itchy feet.
Hostel rates are $20-24 for a shared room or up to $100 for a Family of four in a private room.

2 day Mountain Tour
Approx 25mi., 3000ft climb each day!
Join gene for an overnight campout at Butano State Park.
Starting in Boulder Creek, at my house, on Saturday at 0900 we will ride thru Big Basin State Park on both paved and dirt roads. After camping at Butano on Sunday morning we will ride back a different route thru the park to BC. This is intended to be a self contained bikepacking ride to give you a taste of what it is like to tour the Continental Divide Mountainbike Route.
Mountain bikes are highly recomended. Road bikes with cyclocross tyres could do it but there is LOOSE DEEP gravel and remember you will be carrying your own camping gear. Please RSVP and attend the May 12th organizational meeting.
PS If someone would like to lead a road tour from SC that would meet and camp that would be fun!!!

This out and back ride is a club favorite. The wildflowers and vistas are spectacular. Panoche Inn is the lunch stop. The more adventurous can continue onto Mercey Hot Springs for a soak in the tub. Milage to Panoche Inn and back is 55 miles. Add 16 miles more if you go to the hot springs.

Potluck at the Andreason's Farm. 391 Winter Creek Rd.
Start at the back gate of Natural Bridges Park (NOT CCC), intersection of Natural Bridges Dr. and Delaware Ave, 9 a.m.
The route will be up Western Dr., Empire Grade, Smith Grade, Martin, to Ice Cream Grade and return via Bonny Doon and Hwy 1. about 35-40 mi. but quite a bit of climbing!! One route only, those who wish could add Swanton at the end of the ride.
Bring your Potluck item (salad, main dish, or dessert) along with swimsuits & towels to Natural Bridges and they will be transported for you.
If you drive, take Empire Grade to Ice Cream Grade to Winter Creek and follow to #391. Plan on arriving around 11 a.m..

Pinnacles/King City campout
King City/Pinnacle campout rides.
Rides start at the San Lorenzo Campground, King City (camping available Fri.).
For those ready for a 9 a.m. start on Saturday Bitterwater/Lone Oak Loop:40mi/1800'. This ride goes up into the hills Behind King City to Hwy. 25, no services available on ride. 60mi option goes south to Hwy. 198 and returns via San Lucas. 70mi option goes to East Pinnacles. Sunday ride Soledad/Greenfield loop:50mi/800'. 9 a.m. start time.
This ride goes up Metz Rd into Soledad for lunch, returns via the west side of Hwy. 101 along quiet roads into Greenfield, across the Salinas river and back to King City.
70mi/2800' option goes to West Pinnacles. Shorter ride options are available for both days.
Driving time to the campground in King City should be about 1.5 hr

Start location: Paicines Market, Hwy. 25 (approx. 11 miles South of Hollister)

This out and back ride is one of the club favorites.
The wildflowers and vistas along the road are spectacular at this time of the year.
Panoche Inn is the lunch stop.
The more adventurous riders can continue on to Mercey Hot Springs for a soak in the tub.
Mileage to Panoche Inn and back is approx. 55 miles. Add approx. 16 miles more if you go to Mercey Hot Springs
