Betsy and Janet ride the Rockies

Ride the Rockies, an annual cycling event sponsored by The Denver Post, offers a week of challenging and beautiful riding through the Rocky Mountains. Betsy Schwartz and Janet Fogel completed the seven-day June tour, riding 422 miles with over 24,000 feet of elevation gain. "The gentle gradients were a treat," said Janet, "but the heat (up to 103) took me down a little." Betsy loved enteracting with the other 1,998 participants who ranged in age from seven to over 70. This is a great ride for serious recreational cyclists to consider next year. It is a well-run, enthusiastically supported event!
The Green Hills of Tuscany

Four Couples Bicycle France

Four couples, James and Fancy Graham, Leonard and Joan Moore, Paul and Tory Dubiel and Richard and Martha Bedal, rented a house for two weeks in Southern France. To get there, the Grahams and Bedals bicycled from Toulouse to Le Verdier, via the Midi Canal and Carcassone. During the two weeks at the house the four couples took numerous bicycle adventures together and apart to explore the beautiful country side and nearby castles. They took turns cooking dinner and shared their daily adventures over food and wine.
