 Flamingo Rides
We currently organize the infamous "Flamingo" Rides to have fun and encourage each other to stay in top form.
The standard route is: Highway 9 to Skyline, Alpine Road, Pescadero Road, Cloverdale, Gazos Creek, and Highway 1 with stops for water at the Forestry Station atop Skyline and lunch at Arcangeli's Bakery in Pescadero.
This ride is not for sissies or the faint-hearted and is billed as a "road race training ride." It will test all riders at some level. Lots of climbing. Bring extra food, clothing, two bottles, and some money for cab fare, I mean a sandwich. Usual start site, behind Beckmann's/Another Bike Shop right off of Mission Street on the Westside of Santa Cruz. 9:00 AM start, please be prompt! Return is usually before 3:30 PM.
